What started as a simple love for eating pizza quickly turned into an obsession with perfecting it. Fyred Pizza began in 2019 when founder Luke McDowell received a pizza oven as a graduation gift. With no formal training, just curiosity and determination, he set out to master the craft of true Napoli-style pizza — experimenting with dough, refining techniques, and learning how to create that perfect balance of light, airy base and crisp, flame-kissed crust. By October 2020, in the middle of lockdown, Fyred Pizza was born. In the early days, every pizza was made from home. Freshly prepared in the morning and delivered later with reheating instructions so customers could enjoy that just-fired taste. The response was immediate. What began as a small home setup quickly gained a loyal following across Coleraine.
